Our Story

                       The Congregation of the Mother of Carmel was instituted on 13th Februry 1866 by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara with the help of Fr. Leopold Beccaro OCD. Saint Chavara was a great visionary with challenging spirit & innovation herosim. He made strenous efforts for the uplift of people especially women & chidren through integral person  oriented social programmes. He took initiative to open wide the door of education catering children of all caste and creed irrespective of their social status. So is Kerela toay an outstanding state with 100% literacy. Imbibing the spirit of the founder father, the members of theCongregation of the Mother of Carmel are actively involved in the field of education all over India.

                       Tara sadan Hr. Sec. Scool was founded in 1971 which is owned and managed by the sisters of the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel. It is a Christian minority institution within the scope and ambit of the article 30(1) of the Constitution of India. 

                       The school is totally private and unaided. It does not recieve any grant in aid from government. The school has been affiliated to CBSE with the registration No. 1030334. The medium of instruction is English and Hindi is tought as compulsory subject.
